The Aegis Damper Control Panel is the latest in a range of Damper Control Panels designed and manufactured for AEGIS. It operates with the Apollo XP95 analogue protocol and includes numerous features which makes the Aegis Damper Control Panel the easiest panel available to install, program, commission and operate.
The large LCD display makes the identification of devices more precise. Devices can have up to a 33-character descriptor. With The Aegis Damper Control Panel, users can allocate descriptions to inputs and outputs both in the panel and field. Users can identify inputs and outputs by their location and conduct pre-commissioning tests using the unique input / output testing feature of the Aegis Damper Control Panel. Inputs can be monitored and outputs turned on or off, via the front panel LCD display and keypad.
Other key features available via front panel keypad include adding, deleting or editing devices, displaying system status, and the ability to interrogate status of devices and the event log.
The Aegis Damper Control panel makes installation easier with the introduction of ‘self learn’ capabilities. When the panel is initially turned on, a ‘self learn’ of the system configuration is automatically carried out. System configuration that is obtained through ‘self learn’ can be stored in non-volatile memory and / or downloaded onto a notebook computer. If a configuration already exists, then ‘self learn’ feature will notify the user of any differences. These differences can then be accepted or deleted. The user can execute a loop diagnostic that will report the location of a fault if one exists on the loop. When the fault is located and rectified, the diagnostic program can be executed again to remove previously registered faults.
Modem connection capability allows remote access to the Aegis Damper Control Panel. The user can upload / download both configuration and application software from a remote location. In addition, the user can interrogate the status of the panel and its event log.
Users can go to the next level of remote access by running the LineManagerä protocol via modem connection capabilities of the Aegis Damper Control Panel.
It allows full front panel emulation at the remote location. The user can then execute all front panel functions. The LineManagerä protocol allows the user to upload / download software between them and the Aegis Damper Control Panel.
Simplicity of operation and installation is complimented by the ease in upgrading the Aegis Damper Control Panel. A modular approach means that the hardware configuration of the panel can be readily changed to meet demands of a project. A combination of Apollo or Hochiki analogue loops, conventional zones, damper and or fire fan controls, 32 way damper status display and input / output functions can be added to the Aegis Damper Control Panel.
The Aegis Damper Control Panel provides the operator with step by step user-friendly menu via the front panel and 8 line by 40-character LCD display. It makes operation of the Aegis Damper Control Panel easier than using your mobile phone.
For more complicated system designs, Aegis offers the optional peer-to-peer network. A networked system is achieved when multiple the Aegis Damper Control Panel are connected via a common communications link. This allows the operator to investigate, control and program the entire system from a single point or node. Every panel has access to information found on another.
